A choice group of scalenohedral Calcite crystals from the Bogg shaft area, of this great old lady of a mine on Alston Moor.
Fluoresces a lovely salmon-pink.
11.5 cms by 8 cms.
My first trip underground was into this mine when I was 18, with one of the local old time lead miners - Eric Richardson. We were underground 6 hours or so, and I had never been as scared in all my life,as then, trembling all day! The Good Old Days!
